Prince Mohammad Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital - Al Madinah (PMBAH) celebrated launching the awareness campaign titled "1000 Days", one of the activities of the National Family Safety Program. The Executive Director of Operations in PMBAH, Mr. Mansour Al Askar and the Executive Director of Medical Services, Dr. Walid Al-Yafi, launched the awareness exhibition of the campaign.
Moreover, during the inauguration, the Executive Director of Operation in PMBAH praised the efforts made to prepare and implement the campaign describing the campaign as important and influential in the future of the society, adding that the care of the mother and child during the first thousand days of the child's life will provide us with a generation having better physical and psychological health and this is what we seek in the MNG-HA.
In addition, Head of Family Medicine, Dr. Samia Saber stressed that the campaign aims to raise the community awareness about the importance of care and protection of mother and child during the first thousand days of the child's life starting from the first month of pregnancy until the child completes two years as this affects the child health and psychological future. She also indicated that this includes several aspects; nutrition, health, psychological, social and legal aspects.
