The Department of Bed Management in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, Riyadh, has launched an awareness campaign titled Case Management Awareness Week targeting adult and children patients and all health care providers.
The campaign aims to introduce the job of a case manager and its essential role in enhancing the quality of health care provided to inpatients as the case manager is keen to offer all eligible services to the patients and follow up on their cases throughout their stay in the hospital, as well as helping to make the discharge plan successful, complete and satisfactory to the patient.
The week included awareness activities and events about the case manager's work, including publications about the discharge process, the concept of the case manager's role in serving the patient, and a plan illustrating the patient's journey starting from the emergency department to discharge from the hospital, in addition to educational competitions, and souvenirs.
