2ND ANNUAL KSA Infectious Disease WEEK
The second annual Infectious Diseases Week will be held in Riyadh during the period from 4th to 6th of November, under the coordination of the Preventive Medicine and Infection Control Program and in cooperation with the Saudi Pediatric for Infectious Diseases Society and the Saudi Society of Biology Medical Micro and Infectious Diseases, at the Crown Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel and Convention in Riyadh.
The conference discusses several topics, the most important of which are antimicrobial resistance, the tireless efforts to develop and find effective and feasible alternatives, the new rapid diagnostic methods and modern molecular techniques, the prevention and treatment of respiratory viruses and endemic and emerging infectious diseases, and infection among people infected with HIV and organ transplant cases. In addition, an intensive training program will be conducted on the third day of the conference for Saudi Fellowship students in the specialization of Pediatric and Adult Infectious Diseases, in addition to two workshops on Antimicrobials Stewardship and Epidemiological Surveillance Methods and Techniques in the health institutions.
The conference includes a group of consultants and experts in the field of infectious diseases, infection control, preventive medicine and microbiology from various universities and distinguished health institutions from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
