King Abdulaziz Medical City- Jeddah Celebrates The 6th Safety Awareness Campaign Under the Slogan “Let's Build a Culture of Safety with Excellence"
The Department of Safety and Risk Management at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah organizes the 6th Safety Awareness Campaign, under the slogan "Let's Build a Culture of Safety with Excellence" with the aim of building and enhancing a culture of safety and achieving a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and visitors, as well as providing comprehensive safety education and awareness to enable and teach consistent safe behaviors to prevent accidents and avoid risks, build a culture of safety and promote its sustainability. Furthermore, a number of departments participates in the campaign, including: Quality & Patient Safety Department, Pharmacy Services Department, Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Department, Infection Prevention & Control Department, and Emergency Medical Services Department. Also, participates from outside King Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah, which are: the Saudi Food & Drug Authority, the Saudi Electricity Company, the Saudi Standards, Metrology & Quality Organization, the Saudi Center for Drug Safety, and NAFCO (for safety supplies),
The campaign activities will continue for two days, Wednesday and Thursday 12 & 13th of October 2022, the Safety Awareness Program focuses on the participation of employees willingness to learn in order to implement safety precautions in the hospital. With the help of this program, the workers will understand and implement this role. Hence, safety should be a priority to all the employees, so the participation of each employee is encouraged through this awareness program that adopts safer work habits and practices.
Brig. Gen. Adel Al-Zahrani - Chief of Safety and Risk Management Department-WR, explained that this event sets its goal in providing and implementing all health, occupational and construction safety requirements, which ensure a safe environment that achieves the mitigation and prevention of risks for the human and asset, under the slogan “Let's Build a Culture of Safety with Excellence".
On his part, the Executive Director of Operations - WR, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Harazi, pointed to the necessity to implement safety requirements and precautions to provide a healthy environment and an effective facility without accidents or injuries by protecting individuals, and providing a personal protective equipment to limit the circle of danger to its lowest and ensure safety and professional workplace environment.
