First Cardiac Computed Tomography Course
The Department of Cardiac Sciences, Division of Advanced Cardiac Imaging, in collaboration with the Postgraduate Training Center, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh recently announced the First Cardiac Computed Tomography course targeting physicians to be conducted from 15-17 May 2012.
This innovative educational activity affiliated with the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) -USA and as such every participant who attends this course will be granted the membership in the SCCT. The objective of this activity is to understand the role that Cardiac CT plays in cardiac clinical practice.
The interactive lectures aim to help participants understand and recognize the appropriate indications for Cardiac CT and learn how to reduce radiation exposure and also recognize the role of competing technologies (Nuclear / MRI) and their strength and limitations.
Dedicated workstations are designed for the participants to learn how to review a Cardiac CT cases, implement the post-processing of computed tomography coronary angiography dataset, recognize typical and complex coronary artery stenosis in computed tomography coronary angiography and detect artifacts in computed tomography coronary angiography.
This event will be with 14 hours from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) and is limited to 20 participants.
