Occupational & Environmental Health Awareness Day
The Infection Prevention and Control Program at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh will be conducting an Occupational and Environmental Health Awareness Day on Monday, May 24, 2010 in Dr. Sameer Bin Huraib Auditorium (Large Auditorium).
This employee targeted Awareness Day is scheduled to take place from 0830-1500 and will include topics such as Standard Precautions (SP) and Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs), inquiring whether medical workers properly use mask, gown, and gloves. It will also include what measures one takes regarding accidental needlestick and sharp injuries in the workplace and what to do in case of exposure to infections. Moreover, Environmental Health & Safety IP&C specialists will discuss matters regarding Communicating Hazards and how the organization manages medical waste.
The Occupational & Environmental Health Awareness Day aims to ensure awareness about infection risks related to employment and institute appropriate preventive measures to equip healthcare professionals with knowledge to work in a safe, healthy environment.
