Dr. Al Knawy: ”The forum patronage of HRH confirms his keen support for scientific research”
Minister of National Guard Sponsors the 7th Annual Forum for Medical Research
Under the auspices of His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) will host the 7th Annual Forum for Medical Research with the title “Innovative Medical Research Impact on Economy”. The forum will be held from the 13th till the 15th of December, 2016 in King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences - Convention Center.
On this occasion, H.E. Chief Executive Officer of MNG-HA, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Dr. Bandar Al Knawy extended his appreciation to His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for honoring the activities of the 7th Annual Forum for Medical Research which comes as an extension to him honoring this important international forum in its previous sessions, which confirms his keenness and the Ministry of National Guard to support scientific research, which marks an essential element in improving nations.
In addition, H.E. stressed that this forum which is being held for the seventh consecutive year comes as an extension of the previous forums, which were held with the participation of thousands of researchers where they presented more than 500 scientific papers and medical researches that have contributed in finding solutions to many common health problems in our community.
Also, H.E. clarified that the forum aims mainly to provide researchers, doctors and students with the opportunity of communicating and sharing experiences with their counterparts at the national and international levels. This forum aims to discuss the last updates in the field of strategic priorities, and to start cooperation between research development centers and the national and international research organizations.
Moreover, H.E. expected that this forum will be an important scientific demonstration as it contains a huge scientific and medical content, whether working papers or workshops supervised by the best expertise in the field of health and bio research as well as in the field of pharmaceutical industry and bio technology.
It is worth to mention that the forum discussed many important topics at its previous six sessions starting in 2010, where the 1st forum was entitled "Improving Health Care Through Scientific Research". At its second session in 2011 was entitled "Globalization of Health Research .. the Future Role of the Kingdom.". Also, the third season in 2012 was entitled "Our Health Research is Reality and Aspirations." The fourth forum was held in 2013 entitled “World Day of Research” while the fifth forum was held in 2014 with the participation of more than 500 researchers and 110 research paper were presented which were divided into 28 main lecture plus 30 display of oral research as well as 52 written research, in addition to presenting the best research in MNG-HA in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al-Ahsa for the year 2013- 2014. Last but not least, the sixth annual forum was held in 2015.
