
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz issued a royal decree implementing changes to the cabinet, the most pronounced was the appointment of Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah as the new Minister of Health.
These changes which have been issued early this Saturday included the judicial, economical and military institutions. These were the first changes made since Abdullah bin Abdulaziz became King three years ago.
Not only was the CEO of National Guard Health Affairs Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah appointed as the Minster of Health, also appointed were Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Mohammed as the Minster of Education, Faisal Al Muaammer as the Deputy Minister of Education, and Nora Al Faiz as the first woman Deputy Minister of Girls Education.
His Majesty relieved the Minister of Justice and appointed Sheikh Mohammed Al Essa. Furthermore, the Saudi ambassador in Lebanon Abdulaziz Al Khoja was appointed Minister of Culture and Information.
Some of the most pronounced appointments were that of Mohammed Al Dossary as the Chief of the Supreme Court Administrative Affairs. The chairman of the Shura Council (Consultative Council) Dr. Saleh bin Humaid as the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council replacing Sheikh Saleh Al Lehaidan, with Sheikh Abdullah Al Sheikh as the new president of the Shura Council.
Last but not least were the appointments of Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Humain, the new president of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the successor of Sheikh Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Ghaith, and also the appointment of Major General Abdul Rahman as the leader of the ground forces commander.
