Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital, National Guard , Heath Affairs In Al Madinah organized an allergy awareness campaign under the slogan” Allergy… recognize it …discover it…Avoid it “ . sponsored by Dr. Mansour Al Othman, Executive Director, Operations, PMBAH, Mr. Mansour Al Askar, Deputy Executive Director, Operations, PMBAH, launched the campaign activities that held for three days. The aim of this event is to raise awareness among different segments of society in addition to health workers, the campaign covers allergies dangers of in addition to allergy types, particularly food and medication allergy,….etc.
Moreover, the campaign aimed to raise public awareness on the symptoms, causes and preventive methods and how to deal with an allergy attack.. More than 500 visitors participated in the campaign that started with seven lectures held at the Maternity & Children Hospital in Al Madinah which targeted the health workers where practical application of an Epinephrine pen was demonstrated.
The second day of the campaign, included an awareness booth and many specialized lecturers at the OPD entrance of Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Hospital targeted patients and visitors. Finally, the third day of the campaign was held in the Al Rashed Mega Mall targeting the public through a large Awareness booth that included an interactive theater and a special coloring corner for children.
This campaign was organized by the Committee of Medication Safety in PMBAH supported by the Saudi Center for Safety of Medicines in Riyadh with the participation of a wide range of specialized departments in the hospital and under the supervision and coordination of Public Relations and Media Affairs Department. This event is considered as a part of the huge Social Responsibility Program in Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital, National Guard throughout the year which offered many benefits to thousands of members of the community and all visitors of Saudi Arabia.
