KAMC-J Participates in World Alzheimer's Month
Within the frame of cooperation between the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs and the Saudi Charitable Society for Alzheimer's Patients, King Abdulaziz Medical City - Jeddah participated in the annual awareness campaign for the World Alzheimer's Month entitled "we didn’t forget what you gave us", which sheds light on raising awareness to all members of the society with Alzheimer's disease.
Dr. Nisreen Jastaniah- Consultant Geriatrics Medicine explained that Caring for Alzheimer's patients is a right and a duty, and the MNG-HA is very keen to providing all that’s possible when it comes to care in addition to raising the level of awareness among community members in collaboration with the Saudi Alzheimer's Disease Association to shed some light on the impact of the disease on the patients and their families, utilize all means to provide medical care, explain the importance of psychological and social rehabilitation with the focus on caregivers and the disease’s impact on them such as psychological pressure that may sometimes lead to social pressure.
Moreover Dr. Justinia is participating in the awareness campaign through a lecture entitled " Dementia and Alzheimer Disease ... Early diagnosis and common symptoms of Alzheimer's disease ", in addition to the participation of a number of specialists in the field of neurology, geriatrics, Alzheimer's and psychology disorders.
