Under his patronage the Chief Executive Officer of the National Guard Health Affairs and the President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, the Health Promotion Services Department in collaboration with the Pulmonary Diseases Department and The Saudi Thoracic Society will launch an awareness campaign about asthma (chest allergies) today on 12 May 2009 in King Abdulaziz Medical City.
The NGHA Chief Operating Officer Mr. Abduallah Al-Ammari on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer launched the campaign activities.
"The existence of such campaigns throughout the year makes the community more aware of this disease, how to prevent it and how to deal with it without having to contact the ER. This is a critical point especially since there have been a lot of weather changes such as severe sand storms that are considered dangerous to the health of those who suffer from asthma." Mr. Al-Ammari said.
He commended at the end of his speech on how the awareness campaigns and programs get generous support and follow-up directly from Dr. Bandar Al-Knawy, which contributes to the continuity and development to suit the needs of those who suffer from asthma.
