
The National Guard Health Affairs had approved a program to honor and award departments that demonstrate adherence to NGHA working hours. In this regard, regulations were developed to govern the award. An electronic database has also been developed to accurately extract the information related to the results of the assessment visits of the employee attendance.
Accordingly, the following National Guard Health Affairs departments were found to have successfully met the criteria of the Attendance Excellence Award Program and have displayed exemplary attendance performance for the year 2010:
In-Patient Department, Nursing Services, Central Region, Riyadh
Medical Record Department, Western Region, Jeddah
Business Center, Eastern Region, Al Ahsa
ER Department, Nursing Services, Eastern Region, Dammam
His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of National Guard Health Affairs, Dr Bandar Al Knawy, with the presence of the Executive Director, Internal Audit and Organizational Development Mr. Abdulmohsen Al Ashry, honored the award-winning department for Central Region – In-Patient Department, Nursing Services, while the Regional Executive Director, Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmed Al Arfaj and Lt Col Eng Khalid Bakulka, Executive Director, Operations honored the departments in their respective regions.
During the awarding ceremony, the management expressed their appreciation towards the award-winning departments, stressing the importance of respecting the time and commitment to duty with the general objectives of the NGHA, its mission and organizational culture that respects time and works towards outstanding quality performance.
Moreover, the Executive Director of Internal Audit and Organizational Development Division, Mr. Abdulmohsen Al Ashry expressed his sincere appreciation to His Excellency the Chief Executive Officer of National Guard Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy for his support of this program, which will be carried out annually, and praised this approach to promote the principle of discipline and commitment to working hours, which would contribute to the required delivery of health services.
