Pediatric and Occupational Therapy Departments at King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital (KASCH) in cooperation with the Children and Adolescents Psychiatry Unit at King Saud University, in addition to the participation of a number of representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs, organized an awareness campaign titled "Autism is Unity". This campaign participants were specialists, teachers and supervisors specialized in early intervention programs for autistic children.
The panel discussions covered many vital topics including "Autism and Adolescence," presented by the Child Behavior Consultant in MNG-HA, and an Assistant Professor at the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Fatima Alahmari.
After that, Functional Therapy Specialist at KASCH, Mr. Abdullah Aljaafar directed an open discussion titled "Sensory integration and Autism".
In addition, the Dean of College of Medicine at King Saud University and the Supervisor of the Medical City, Dr. Fahad Alzamil, delivered a speech in which he encouraged hard work in this field, focusing on the importance of reaching effective recommendations out of any scientific forums, and last but not least, he expressed his delight and pride in the College of Medicine students serving their country and the development of our nation.
