King Abdulaziz Hospital - Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard- Al-Ahsa launched the automated laboratory, a strategic step that reflects leadership in developing health services. The Regional Executive Director of the Eastern Sector, Dr. Ahmed AL-Arfaj, explained that "this project will constitute an important transformation in the digital transformation journey and improve the quality of laboratory medicine and pathology services."
The automated laboratory is one of the most important qualitative development projects aimed at enhancing diagnostic efficiency and accelerating the pace of work through the application of the latest integrated laboratory automation technologies ensuring higher accuracy in results, reducing issuance time, and raising the level of patient safety.
The new automated laboratory is characterized by its high ability to automate the stages of sample processing, from the receipt to the issuance of results, and reduces direct manual intervention, minimizing the likelihood of errors, increasing the capacity to deal with larger numbers of samples with high efficiency, and improving the indicators of the time of completion of the results.
The Laboratory Department at King Abdulaziz Hospital explained that this project represents a qualitative leap in the laboratory work environment, supports quality targets and institutional accreditation, and enhances the integration of technical systems within the hospital, in a way that contributes to providing more rapid, accurate, and reliable health care in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The launch of the automated laboratory comes as an extension of the efforts of the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs in investing in technology and national cadres, and adopting international best practices, in a way that consolidates its position as a reference center for providing advanced diagnostic services, according to the highest international standards.
