Under the auspices of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Information Systems and Informatics Division (ISID) organized an honoring Ceremony for all BESTCare project participants today, Thursday, the 31st of March 2016 in King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for health Sciences – Convention Center.
The Ceremony was commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qura’an followed by a speech delivered by Engr. Abdulaziz Al Romaih, ISID Executive Director where in which he gave a brief explanation covering the BESTCare, and how it made a quantum leap in health care and quality.
Later on, NGHA’s Chief Operating Officer Mr. Abdullah Al-Ammari extended his appreciation towards anyone who was involved in the success of such project, which was a part of the integrated services provided by Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs that seeks to raise the quality of the output levels to reach optimal patient comfort in a timely manner.
After that, H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, the ceremony sponsor, delivered a speech where he extended his appreciation to all staff members, in addition to highlighting the importance of the development process that would improve medical services and that in the interest of all patients, indicating that this new health system is a result of collaborative efforts between several departments all contributed to the success of launching this modern system.
After that, Dr. Al Knawy distributed appreciation letters and commemorative plaques to everyone who contributed to the completion of this achievement from ISID as well as other supporting departments, in addition to some MNGH-HA officials who have supported this project. In addition, Dr. Al Knawy presented Dr. Hee Hwang, BESTcare Executive Director with a commemorative plaque for all his contributions.
It should be noted that the launching of BESTCare system was on the 22nd of January 2016, a system covering a wide range services that would efficiently raise the service’ quality levels, where it provides a patient data base platform to be shared with other MNG-HA regions , while guaranteeing patient privacy.
In addition, patients will be able to know their treatment plans and follow-ups, while providing decision making tools for the physicians as well as dispensing and monitoring of sensitive patient information, which will , in turn, help health practitioners to draw a complete picture for the patient medical case, his condition and needs. Last but not least, this system will present a unified source of medical information, and provide dependable international references for medical diagnosis and operations coding.
