The visit of Biomedical Engineering Team from King Abdulaziz University - Jeddah

​Biomedical Engineering Team from King Abdulaziz University-Jeddah visited King Abdulaziz Medical City-WR. The team was accompanied by Healthcare Technology Management Department (HTM) in KAMC-WR. They were introduced to various diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices ranging from clinical equipment to micro-implants, common imaging equipment such as infant incubator, defibrillator, and pulse oximeter. HTM gave an orientation about biomedical engineering practices that involve equipment recommendations, procurement, routine testing and preventative maintenance. In addition the team was given a visual demonstration about how the medical devices work including diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy. The visit was commenced at King Fiasel Cardiac Centre, where the team was given the chance to see the work of biomedical engineering employed on the intensive care unit. Moreover, the team experienced the use of some simulation runs on some medical treatments done by medical devices.
