Dr. Saad Al Mihrij, Chief Executive Officer of Medical Affairs, Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs instructed to provide a blood donor car in the 2015 Riyadh Book Fair to spread the culture of blood donation and its importance among all population where this event will continue until the end of this week.
The blood donor car receives approximately 50 to 60 donors, who meet the requirements, on a daily basis. After the general assessment to determine the possibility of donation, the donors acceptance is dependent on presenting the ID whether it is a national ID, Iqama or any identity form in addition to the donor being over 16 years old.
Moreover, visitors are also provided with pamphlets and brochures that highlights the importance of blood donation and its benefits. Noting that MNGHA had organized such visits throughout the year to prominent exhibitions, conferences, universities, and military sectors.
