The World Health Day Awareness campaign’s seminar - Control Blood Pressure (hypertension) under the slogan (watch your blood pressure .. protect your life .. and improve your health) has concluded its activities, the campaign was organized by Health Promotion Services in collaboration with Medicine Department at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah.
The activities lasted for three days, and were attended by many specialized medical departments such as King Faisal Cardiology Center, Clinical Nutrition Department, Medicine Department, Physical Therapy and Pharmaceutical Care Services.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness on high blood pressure (hypertension) which became a global and local strategy sponsored by the National Guard Health Affairs.
Scientific papers were presented by participants during the seminar by: Dr. Ahmad Abuosa, Cardiology Consultant, Dr. Turki Banamah, Nephrology Consultant, Dr. Rasem Husani, Clinical therpist, Ms. Aziza Hashmi, Clinical Nutritionist, Dr. Nour Shamas, pharmacist, and Mr. Kastir Kakakhel, physiotherapist.
The Associate Executive Director, Mr. Abdulaziz Harazi in behalf of the Operations Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs in the Western Region, Brigadier Engineer Khalid Bakulka, pointed out that National Guard Health Affairs has made great efforts in improving health services and providing outstanding medical care.
Furthermore, along with the seminar, a two day educational forum was launched in the Outpatient Clinics by Ahmed al-Bulaui, the Operations Deputy Executive Director, to talk more about high blood pressure to explain it further to the event’s visitors.
