Deputy Executive Director of Operations, PMBAH, Mr. Mansour Al Askar and the Head of Anesthesia Department, Dr. Ibrahim Kashkari launched the activities of Unified Gulf Week on Boosting the Oral and Dental Health at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital in Al Madinah (PMBAH) - Ministry of National Guard- Health Affairs (MNG-HA) with a series of awareness and educational activities organized by the Dental Services Department to raise awareness levels regarding oral and dental diseases and promoting a culture of dental health.
In addition, this year's event focused on five health topics: how to care for children's teeth, safety and infection control, oral diseases and oral hygiene. The Dental Services Department was keen to educate the largest segment during the campaign period. Also, the event included an awareness exhibition with various corners which was held in the lobby of the main entrance to the hospital, and witnessed a visit of many patients, visitors and hospital’s staff members. Moreover, the celebration included a special exhibition held at one of Alkhobar’s malls with various corners, including a special section for educating children by entertainment, as well as the Dental Services provided immediate dental examination and health counseling for the exhibition’s visitors, in addition to distribution gifts to promote a culture of dental health among the visitors.
In this regard, Acting Head of Dental Services Department, Dr. Raghda Mohammad, stressed that this celebration is an extension of the integrated health care services that are provided by the Dental Services Department at PMBAH, which begins with awareness and education. She also confirmed on the importance of oral health care which prevents many diseases.
