The Primary Health Care Center - Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital - Dammam conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness Exhibition; its goal according to Dr. Ahmad Arfaj, Regional Executive Director of National Guard Health Affairs - Eastern Region is to provide consultation services by doctors specialized in health education and serves the concept of " Together against breast cancer”, with the participation of King Fahd Specialist Hospital –Dammam. He added:" information regarding the mammogram as well as printed and visual educational materials about the breasts health have been provided”.
Furthermore, this activity targets the Ministry of National Guard’s employees in order to raise their awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer. The exhibition covered several topics including the importance of early detection, symptoms and method of self-examination illustrated by the use of explanatory models.
The exhibition, which the number of visitors exceeded 300, included medical consultation services, Q& A, prevention methods, proper diets as well as available methods of treatment at King Fahd Specialist Hospital –Dammam.
