The Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital – Dammam launched the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, which was held in the Primary Healthcare Center in King Fahad Residential City. The Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, said that " This exhibition is a part of the continuous series of awareness programs in the region and a complement to the breast cancer intensive awareness program.
"The main objective of the exhibition is to deliver and promote the highly important message of early detection and the periodic examination, to have better chances of being treated, in addition to increasing awareness of its causes, most importantly the genetic factor and the wrong lifestyle.
The participating departments in this event were Clinical Nutrition, Health Education and Pharmaceutical services, in cooperation with the Saudi Cancer Society, which provided the Mammogram for two consecutive days within the residential city. This allowed the possibility of conducting tests and examinations for patients and visitors within the residential city.
