The Department of Nursing Education at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital – Al Madinah (PMBAH) organized the activities of World Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2018 with the participation of several departments in PMBAH including Clinical Nutrition, Labor and Delivery department and the Primary Health Care Center in MNG-HA/Al Madinah. This event aims to increase the awareness of patients, visitors and hospital staff about the importance of breastfeeding as well as to clarify the benefits of breastfeeding for mothers and children and to identify the right way of preserving breast milk.
Also, the event included an awareness exhibition held at the entrance of outpatient clinics, which included several awareness centers where brochures and educational publications were presented and all visitors' queries about breastfeeding were answered.
