Breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women according to the Saudi Cancer Registry 2014.
Number of cases recorded 1826 cases of breast cancer is 16%, but represents 29% of all women with cancer in general.
The average age is 50 years and the diagnosis rate in the first and second stages is 36%, the third stage is 40% and 17% for the fourth stage.
Prince Noura Oncology Centre launched the annual awareness campaign of Breast Cancer which comes in concurrently with the 10th international Breast Cancer Conference 2018. The campaign involves activities varied in public awareness exhibition and scientific seminars. It has started with awareness exhibition held in ACC-Jeddah, and set to continue for the whole month of October. Head of the international conference Dr. Mutib Alfohaidi pointed out that this campaign is dedicated to spread knowledge and awareness designed for public while the conference with academic and scientific. He added that more effort is put this year to public awareness and that with many activities taking place in malls and venues throughout Jeddah City.
