King Abdulaziz Hospital – AL Ahsa celebrated the Residents Day, sponsored by Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region on behalf of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, President of
King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and General Supervisor of Royal clinics, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy.
On this occasion, Dr. Al Arfaj delivered Dr. Bandar Al Knawy’s greetings to a group of graduate residents and wished them the best.
Dr. Al Arfaj pointed out: ” the NGAH and KSAU-HS are keen to provide the highest level of training for the residents through different programs and activities as well as to promote their research and publications”.In addition, 2 batches have been graduated on this day, the first batch of 2011/2012 included 9 doctors, and the second batch of 2012/2013 included 13 male and female doctors; and the number is expected to reach 23 male and female doctors in 2013/2014.
Dr. Kamal Al Shaikh Mubarak, Chairman of the organizing and supervising committee and the Director of Academic Affairs, Eastern Region, pointed out that: “ this day is celebrated to honor the doctors for their efforts during their training period at the hospital”. He added: ” we seek to overcome the difficulties and obstacles the residents may face in order to achieve their desired goals, and our mission is to improve the medical sector and to contribute in training the national cadres who will carry out the responsibilities in the future”.
Dr. Fahad Al saab, Chairman of ENT Surgery Training Program said: “ the event covered 3 main topics, the 1st is to encourage residents to publish their research and scientific papers, the 2nd is to honor their graduation after passing the graduation and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties requirements and the 3rd is to strengthen their relationships through entertainment activities”.
He explained that holding this occasional day annually is highly important to support and encourage the residents for more success.
