The event was held in King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) and was under the theme "Safe blood for saving mothers".
The World day is celebrated each year and is an opportunity to honor donors who had given more than fifty donations through the Blood Donor Center in the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs. Some have even exceeded a hundred donations.

The Blood Donor Center welcomes donations from all applicable individuals. However, to assure the safety of both donor and recipient it requires certain procedures.
