King Abdulaziz Hospital (KAH) in Al Ahsa represented by Quality Department in collaboration with King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) conducted the “World Quality Day”, which included a series of lectures focused on the culture of quality and its importance, according to Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region.
He said: "This celebration aims to confirm our commitment as a pioneer medical organization to Quality concept theoretically and practically, in accordance with international standards. Furthermore, it is NGHA Policy to focus on the importance to provide a high-quality services for patients." Dr. Al Arfaj explained that KAH as well as other NGHA affiliates is keen on Quality, he said: " November was designated to be World Quality Month”.
Dr. Ali Al Qarni, Head of Eastern Research Center at KAIMRC, said that the Saudi Quality Council launched the initiative in 2008 to stress the importance of celebrating the Quality in the month of November every year, in order to promote and spread the culture of Quality and its importance. Dr. Al Qarni added: "9 researchers from different departments and sections participated in this occasion where 2 research papers were selected by a specialized evaluating committee."
It is worth mentioning that this activity is accredited with 5 CME Hours by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
