The National Guard Health Affairs concluded the events of the child neglect campaign which was organized by the National Family Safety Program to protect children from violence and abuse. The event was in collaboration with Department of Health Education and Social Services at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah.
The campaign lasted for one week targeted children younger 18 years old and their parents and concluded on Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
Dr. Sara Abed, pediatric consultant and chairman of the National Family Safety Program in KAMC-J explained that the campaign addressed many topics including: fire prevention, suffocation, electric shocks, and children safety around swimming pools, and prevention from drowning, poisoning and suffocation.
