Under the patronage of President of the National Family Safety Program, Her Royal Highness Princess Adla bint Abdullah bin AbdulAziz, and the presence of HE. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, Chief Executive Officer, NGHA and a number of officials in National Guard Health Affairs, the National Family Safety Program will hold the “Children Protection from Social Media Exploitation Forum” which will be held on Wednesday, the 9th of May 2018 in King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences - Convention Center.
The conference, which will be held in conjunction with Child Helpline International Day, will present the Saudi Child Helpline experience in dealing with online children commercial exploitation issues through social networking sites. In addition, It will discusses legislation and executive actions in such cases, as well as community awareness particularly, with the wide spread use of social media. The event will be held with the participation of representatives of several ministries and government bodies. It is worth mentioning that the Attorney General recently issued a memorandum directing the branches and departments of the Public Prosecutor's Office to initiate a criminal proceedings against parents who exploit their children on social networking sites.
