His Royal Highness Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard visited on Wednesday, the 4th of March 2015 the twins Abduallah and Abdulrahman, the recently separated conjoined twins who are currently completing their treatment in King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh after their successful separation surgery which was performed on the 28th of February 2015 by a Saudi multidisciplinary medical team and surgical team.
His Royal Highness was received by H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs and President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy and a number the medical and surgical team members.
During his visit, Prince Miteb followed up on the twins case and listened to a detailed explanation about their health status while congratulating the twin’s parents, the team members and everyone who contributed to the success of the surgery and wished that the successes and achievements that characterize the National Guard in all fields will continue to prosper.
In addition, His Royal Highness also visited the Egyptian Twin (Ahmad) after the successful separation surgery of his parasitic twin that was performed on the 1st of March 2015, and who’s currently in KAMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Prince Miteb listened to thorough explanation of his current health state, congratulating his parents and the team who contributed to the success of his surgery..
Moreover, Prince Miteb also visited Ryan Al Balawi, who is recovering from his burn injuries after a fire which broke out in their home. His Royal Highness followed up and Ryan’s health status and recovery stressing out his courageous act in saving the lives of his two sisters and their housekeeper.
Finally, Based on Prince Miteb’s directives, Ryan was transferred to the Burn Unit in King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh in addition to rewarding him with an amount of SR 100,00 for his act of bravery.
