The Department of Laboratory Medicine, Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital, Dammam celebrated the World Laboratory Day.
Laboratories around the world celebrate this day every year to showcase its significant role in the treatment of many diseases and spotlight services and tests that each individual laboratory provides.
Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region believes this is a great opportunity not to only explain these services but also communicate the hospital’s message of high quality service to them.
Ms. Mona Al-Dosari, Laboratories Medical Operating Director said that it is an occasion to celebrate achievements such as receiving international recognition from the American College of Pathology, establishing new serums and vaccines sections, analyzing the electric separation of hemoglobin, and adding many new equipment to the germs section that aid in the identification of certain types of bacteria within only four hours instead taking three to four days.
