School Prevention Program for Oral and Dental Health in National Guard Health Affairs participated in the 4th National Guard Health Affairs and 2nd College of Dentistry, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) Conference and Workshops which was concluded yesterday at the KSAU-HS Convention Center, Riyadh under the title “Science and Technology, the Dental Signature”.
Dr. Abeer Abdulrahman Al Sbait, School Prevention Program for Oral and Dental Health Director explained that this participation aims to introduce the program and its objectives to the audience where many awareness publications and pamphlets were distributed as well as gifts such as brushes and toothpastes amongst children.
Regarding the School Prevention Program plans, Dr. Sbait said: “the school plan for this year includes visiting the primary schools of National Guard which will including gifts, booklets to be distributed amongst students that illustrate the importance of teeth hygiene, as well as holding awareness visits and lectures for students in all academic levels.
On the other hand, Mr. Sultan Algmez, the program coordinator explained that the School Prevention Program contributes to community services in cooperation with National Guard – Community Dental Services through field visits to charity committees as well as holding events in shopping centers and conferences to spread awareness amongst the society; and the number of those who found the program beneficial exceeded 16,000 male ad female students.
