In a move that is the first of its kind in the Middle East and among various efforts aimed at raising awareness in the community by School Dental Prevention Program at Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs (MNG-HA), the first Braille Publication of Oral and Dental Hygiene Guidelines have been issued under the supervision of the program Director, Dr. Abeer Al Sbeit.
Due to MNG-HA believe of the blind need for care and awareness, the idea of issuing Oral and Dental Hygiene Guidelines was created and succeeded by the efforts of School Dental Prevention Program team.
After consulting H. E. the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, and President of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy and Head of Dental Department at King Abdulaziz Dental Center and Dean of Dentistry College at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Ahaidab, the team started to collect and organize the content of the publication.
It is worth mentioning that this social-medical achievement, that aim to expand the range of awareness to include all society members, was issued at November, 2017.
