Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, the CEO of the National Guard Health Affairs and the President of the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, participated in a workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education dealing with the development of academic leaders. The workshop was attended by a large number of deans from various universities in the Kingdom and was held in the Intercontinental Hotel - Jubail for two days in a row where they discussed modern and global developments that aim to develop academic leaders.
Dr. Khaled Al Ankari, the Minister of Higher Education, and fourteen deans from Saudi universities participated in the workshop, covering the most modern management theories.
Three international experts in the academic leadership field presented these theories, addressing the leadership role a university dean plays and how to build a team that is capable of achieving cultural excellence in academic work.
Dr. Bandar Al Knawy said that the participants held serious discussions and dialogues in the workshop adding to its success. He pointed out the necessity to meet challenges and to catch up with global development and stressed the need to adhere to qualitative quality to increase our knowledge and graduate specialized scientific generations.
