Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital – Al Madinah (PMBAH) at Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs celebrates Diabetes Awareness Day by holding a huge awareness campaign organized by Nursing Education Department and under the supervision of Department of Public Relations and Media Affairs on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Al Rashid Mall. More than 35 specialist from several departments participated in the campaign.
The campaign targeted all visitors and workers of the mall from all ages. Nursing Education Department organized the booths sequentially according to specialization. The visitors of the campaign pass at first by the examination and blood sugar level measurement booth, after that, medical consultation, then, nutrition consultation followed by a booth specialized in physiotherapy consultation, finally, a booth to provides pharmaceutical consulting. Nursing Education Department in collaboration with School and Academy of bikes, Taibah University prepared a section to educate children through entertainment.
Prior the campaign, Nursing Education Department with the participation of several departments prepared awareness activities in Female campus at Taibah University. The activities aimed to educate student and staff about Diabetes and its risks.
Several Departments participated in the campaign organized by Nursing Education Department and Department of Public Relations and Media Affairs: Medical Services Department, Nutrition Department, Laboratory Department, Pharmacy Department and Physiotherapy Department, in addition to many support departments.
