Health Education Committee at the Primary Health Care Center in King Fahad Residential City in Dammam, held an awareness exhibition on the occasion of the World Diabetes Day "Diabetes is a Family Matter", with the participation of several departments including Diabetes Education, Family Medicine, Infection control, Dental, Pharmacy, and Laboratory departments, in addition to the Department of Nursing.

"This exhibition aims to educate health practitioners about the importance and complications of diabetes while explaining the appropriate ways for patients on how to deal with drugs and the right type of insulin and the proper disposal ways “.
The exhibition was titled "Diabetes is a Family Matter". The focus was on the choice of healthy diets that reduce the incidence of diabetes, as well as the correct ways to regularly maintain medications along with physical exercise. The exhibition was also accompanied by a diabetes screening activity where four new cases were discovered and referred to the diabetes clinic to begin the treatment plan developed by consultants of the Department of Family Medicine. In addition to a medical lecture for health practitioners and doctors that covered modern diabetes treatment methods.
