The Primary Health Care Center of the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs in Al-Ahsa launched an awareness campaign to detect the causes of diabetes in conjunction with World Diabetes Day.
The Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj pointed out: "The campaign targeted school students to send important awareness messages to maintain health, avoid diabetes, from changing the lifestyle, diet and physical activities”.
Dr. Al Arfaj also added: "several sections participated in this event, which coincided with the World Diabetes Day, these corners addressed the children mentality in particular, and school students in general, to emphasize the need to pay attention to diabetes, which statistics show a frightening rise in the number of people who suffer from it, so we made sure to start raising awareness of children”.
The exhibition included awareness corners such as dental preservation, diabetes medicine and devices, health education, and nutrition, and according to the organisers, this mini-exhibition set a visitor record of 400 students and was held at the Officers Club and lasted for two days.
