Organized by King Abdulaziz Medical City, the activities of the conference of the latest update on diabetes was concluded.
The conference focused on:
- Update on Diabetes type 1
- Update on diagnosis and prevention.
- Update on diabetes and heart diseases.
- Update on Foot care for people with diabetes.
Head of the conference, Dr. Tariq Nassir said that the increase of diabetes cases worldwide triggered the alarm to look more on prevention and health promotion. Millions have been diagnosed with diabetes over the past years and finding new approaches to tackle this increase is essential.
“The situation in KSA is not different, we are among the countries with the highest number,” said Dr. Tariq. The conference of the latest updates on diabetes was finalized with more recommendations on how to prevent diabetes.
