HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, launched the of the Dialysis Center in Makkah Al-Mukarramah on the 17th of November 2015 in Laylati Hall in Jeddah. The Dialysis Center is a part of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works Dialysis Care Project. Upon arriving, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal was received by HRH Prince Khalid bin Abduallah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works, His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, Prince Turki bin Abdullah, Chief Executive of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works and H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy.
After the reception, H.E. Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy delivered a speech in which he pointed out that kidney failure cases and the number of patients who require specialized care are increasing, which in turn caused a lot of pressure on specialized hospitals. Therefore, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works provides 1000 hemodialysis machines distributed across the Kingdom with a maximum capacity of up to 5,000 patients. Keeping in mind the highest levels of quality care and medical standards of infection control. He also added that the medical, nursing, technical and operational staff are supervised by a high elite of national cadres.
After that, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal was received by HRH Prince Khalid bin Abduallah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works delivered a speech in which he said: “In this blessed day, we are witnessing a high sense of noble values and humanitarian acts upheld by the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, to serve our nation and our citizen’s rights.
He also added that the late King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz focused all his efforts in the establishment of specialized medical cities and healthcare centers to provide quality healthcare, making the Kingdom a regional and international popular destination for critical cases such as the conjoined twins separation procedures and heart and liver transplant.
In addition, a documentary about King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works was presented.
Then, the Dialysis Center was inaugurated and HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region was presented a commemorative plaque by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal was received by HRH Prince Khalid bin Abduallah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works.
