Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz Hospital (PMBAH) - Al Madinah, Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs has conducted Level- 3 state of emergency drill. This drill aim to increase the preparedness of the hospital staff to face disasters and crises and it has been conducted with the participation of all medical and operational departments with the cooperation of the Military Police Department.
The drill scenario was represented by two buses crashed to result in collective injuries. The hospital has received a report about the accident at 11:00 am. The hospital administration announce the Level- 2 state of emergency “preparedness”, while rescue teams and emergency teams have moved to the accident location to help the cases who have different injury levels. Due to that, the hospital increase the state of emergency to level – 3, 20 injured has been moved from the accident location to the hospital in which they were met by medical and operational teams. After that, the cases were organized and flowed-up by emergency and crisis control room.
the Executive Director of the Operation in PMBAH, Mr. Mansour Al-Askar has asserted that such drills are important to overcome the obstacles in the real situation. At the end of the drill, Dr. Al-Askar has express his appreciation to all the departments.
