Saudi Food and Drug Authority announced that Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs has won the first place in the Kingdom for its activities in reporting drugs’ side effects with an average of 96 reports. The importance of the reporting the drugs side effects is protecting the consumer from drugs complications and side effects.
A brief about the Saudi Medication Safety Center at MNG-HA:
The Medication Safety Program is a patient safety initiative, carried out under the umbrella of Quality Management and Patient Safety which was launched in 2006. The Medication Safety Program was established at three areas of MNG-HA. The Saudi Medication Safety Center was developed at 2008 to determine the risks in using the drugs. The Medication Safety Programs is part of the Saudi Medication Safety Center that aim to spread the medication safety information and preventive strategies, educate the society and consumers about the safe drug practices and works with organizational authorities to avoid mistakes.
