Paperless environment in King Abdulaziz Hospital this December
Information Services Department in King Abdulaziz Hospital – Al-Ahsa officially launched the Enterprise Archiving and Correspondence Tracking Solution (E-CTS), and on this occasion, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj pointed out that this new solution comes in line developmental phase witnessed by the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs, which aspires to reach a paperless environment through utilizing electronic systems. "
Dr. Al Arfaj added that the official announcement was made with the presence of several departments and divisions, along with a detailed review of the services provided and its desired objectives. This solution comes in accordance with a set plan to keep up with fast growing development, to convert correspondence from paper to a secure electronic system in a timely manner.
Director of Information Services Department in King Abdulaziz Hospital – Al-Ahsa , Eng. Abdulmalek Ismaiel said that E-CTS was established to limit the use of papers within a project that aims to facilitate administrative correspondence between different departments kingdom wise.
Eng. Ismaiel further explained that this project saves time, effort and cost, and the MNG-HA was a pioneer in implementing this approach, to complete the transactions in a timely manner, preventing documents loss as well as providing an archiving system for easy handling and retrieval in time of need. He also added that the new system will limit the accumulation of papers and will ultimately relieve some of the pressure put on the National Guard Press. December 1st will mark the initial application of a full paperless environment in King Abdulaziz Hospital – Al-Ahsa.
