In the framework of providing optimal healthcare services, with the highest quality and advanced technologies, the medical imaging department announces the opening of the Diagnostic Imaging Unit at the Emergency Care Center at King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh.
This Emergency department-based Unit, the first in the region, is a fully equipped diagnostic area to serve emergency patients, which helps to speed up the work of examinations and the effectiveness of management for emergency cases in order to facilitate the process of admission and discharge.
This unit contains advanced technology X-ray equipment, a dual-energy CT scan, fixed and mobile X-ray machines and an ultrasound machine. In addition, all these devices are linked to the PACS and BestCare systems, which assists in speeding up the arrival of radiological reports and images to the treating team.
This project aims to ensure that advanced health care services from medical imaging are present in a timely and safe manner for all patients visiting the Emergency Department at King Abdulaziz Medical City – Riyadh.
