The Executive Director of Medical Services in MNGHA -WR launched the “Update Conference on Endocrine and Diabetes ", Organized by the endocrine section, on the 19TH of December 2019 in cooperation with the Saudi Diabetes and Endocrine Association of Endocrine.
Dr. Tarek Nasser, Chairman Department of Medicine - President of the conference clarified that the conference discussed the common disease including diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, thyroid disorder, adrenal and pituitary disorder.
Dr. Tarek Nasser indicated that the rate incidence of diabetes and endocrine diseases in the Kingdom is increasing every year, with incidence of diabetes reaching 20% to 24% of the total adult population, while the incidence of obesity in the Kingdom is more than 28.7% and the incidence of overweight is more than 30.7% in the 15-year-old age group and above of men and women , According to the results of the National Health Information Survey in 2013, the thyroid cancer is the second common cancer that affects many women in the Kingdom according to the National Oncology Register.
