The Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, represented by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in collaboration with the Saudi endometriosis group (SEG), have organized the “Endometriosis Awareness Program “ on Sunday, March 12th, 2017. The event took place in the Outpatient Clinics at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh.
Endometriosis is a condition resulting from the appearance of endometrial tissue outside the uterus, most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. Such condition affects 10% of the women and causing pelvic pain, especially associated with painful periods and infertility.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in King Abdulaziz Medical City - Riyadh targeted the female patients and visitors to elevate their awareness levels about this unknown disease, through the distribution of educational pamphlets, or a detailed explanation by doctors of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
