Visitors were trained on CPR

The Emergency Department in Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal Hospital- Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs - Dammam, succeeded in raising the awareness levels of the correct means of conducting the cardiopulmonary resuscitation, through its participation in the third Emergency Medicine Exhibition, held at Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Science and Technology Center (Scitech). The Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region, Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj said that: "we participated to confirm the high demand of community awareness in this important medical feild."
He also added:" MNG-HA in the Eastern Region organizes a series of medical programs and events throughout the year and on a regular basis, since such events significantly impact the medical and emergency development among our employees, visitors and in our society in general. In addition, its impacts will be noticeable in everyday life by saving lives".
The exhibition was held for five days on two shifts, the morning shift was allocated for students whereas individuals and families were in the evening , with the participation of several government and private hospitals. Also, the Emergency Department focused on CPR theoretical and practical demonstration for participants in case of heart or respiratory failure.
Moreover, The hospital provided an ambulance vehicle, in which participants were trained on the right ways to call an ambulance and the proper transportation means, as well as on how to avoid complications during the transfer of patients through a basic hands-on training for the visitors.
