
72 Hours after the successful separation of the Saudi Conjoined Twins, Eylan & Eleen which was performed on Thursday, 13th of October, in King Abdullah Specialist Children's Hospital (KASCH) in King Abdulaziz Medical City at the Ministry of National Guard – Health Affairs - Riyadh, the Head of the Surgical and Multidisciplinary Team, H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, stated that the twins are now stable and all their vital signs are normal.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Rabeeah pointed out that the twins recovery is going according to plan, however, Eylan still needs more care and monitoring due to the birth defects she suffers from. On the other side, Eleen is now stable and gradually began to recover from the anesthesia, and the medical team started to reduce her dependence on the artificial ventilation, and expected to take her off artificial ventilation during the next few days.
The parents of the twins are extremely appreciative and truly thankful for the fatherly gesture and generosity of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, as well as to the Medical team and the successful outcome of the separation.
