Coinciding with the 10 anniversary of the establishment of the National Family Safety Program, an initiative taken by the Ministry of National Guard and in cooperation with a number of ministries and relevant agencies, that aims to renounce violence and terrorism and to emphasize the family positive role of in the protection of our society from any extremist ideas, His Royal Highness Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard extended his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion of issuing the Royal approval that the Ministry of National Guard will be the organizers of Family Safety Day.
The National Family Safety Program was established as a program that promotes community awareness of individuals and institutions towards domestic violence and its negative impact on society, and the enhancement of family security and integrity by providing prevention and support programs, raising awareness and building professional partnerships with specialists, civil institutions and international organizations to provide a safe family environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, the program provides a toll-free Child Helpline (1116111) as one of the national projects that aim to support children and adolescents under the age of eighteen who are subject to any form of abuse or neglect.
