His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard will host the Kingdom’s Family Safety Day activities that will commence on Wednesday, the 18th of November 2015 under the slogan " Your family is Your Safety " with the participation of the Ministry of National Guard (Organizers), the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Presidency for Youth Welfare, and the Human Rights Commission.
The occasion will be held to emphasize the importance of the family’s role in the renunciation of violence and terrorism, and the promotion of peace and tranquility within families, being the building block upon which communities are built for future generations.
The Supreme Committee of the Family Safety Day including all participants will contribute in the implementation of educational programs, prevention campaigns through media, audio-visual presentations, electronic and social media channels. In addition, Workshops targeting social workers and social protection services will be held along with lectures targeting the general public Kingdome wide. Such campaign will also extend to reach Saudi residents outside the Kingdom through the Kingdom’s embassies and cultural bureaus abroad.
The first day of the event will be commenced with seminar entitled " Family role in the renunciation of violence and terrorism", which will include lectures and scientific papers that reviews the national experience and scientific studies on the relationship of domestic violence and terrorism. The speakers will explain the role of the family in addressing violence and extremism to confront such behavior, and offers a comprehensive study on all legitimacy, security and social levels.
The symposium will also include youth initiatives to explore suggestions and ideas about the programs and projects that are compatible with the way young adults think, to face any domestic violence, which in turn might lead to intellectual deviation that leads to terrorism.

Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs, Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, extended his appreciation to both the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the occasion of issuing the Royal approval to organize the Family Safety Day, as well as to His Royal Highness, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard for his immense support towards the National Family Safety Program, while applauding the collaborative efforts to promote family safety.
