HE Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, the Chief Executive Officer, National Guard Health Affairs, President, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and General Supervisor, Royal Clinics will Sponsor the 1st Saudi Ob/Gyn Conference on January 8th 2012 .The conference will be organized by the National Guard Health Affairs in cooperation with American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), which is the largest international organization in this feild.
Dr. Fawaz Muzaini, head of the conference organization committee Mentioned that the conference will be held at Marriott Hotel- Riyadh with teh participation of a group of local and international speakers from United States of America, Canada and Europe as well as some Arab countries in addition to a group of elite professors and consultants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The conference aims to improve the physicians’ performance in all Ob/Gyn specialties within a comprehensive safety system for the patient and provide our doctors with more hands-on experience. Through a number of seminars and lectures, the conference will focus on important aspects such as the doctor’s ethics and his/her role in finding solutions to women problems, updates regarding medical education, the best treatment for high-risk pregnancy, updates in late pregnancy treatment and surgery and its consequences, scientific progress and development in treating female reproductive system tumors, the latest recommendations regarding birth control methods, updates in female reproductive system infections , Ob/Gyn surgery, Osteoporosis, post- menopause symptoms treatment and other topics.
There will also be several workshops; the 1st will be about advanced surgery for treating prolapsed uterus and urinary incontinence, the 2nd workshop will be on advanced surgical abdominal endoscopy of the reproductive system and the 3rd workshop is on diagnostic therapeutic and hysteroscopy.
For the first time in the Middle East, there will be a lunch meeting to discuss other topics. Each table will include two experts and eight participants to talk ad discuss for an hour where there will be 8 tables every day throughout the conference period.
