Department of Infection Prevention and Control in King Abdulaziz Hospital – Al Ahsa have launched the Flu Shot vaccine campaign that will last for 12 weeks. Dr. Ahmad Al Arfaj, the Regional Executive Director of the Ministry of National Guard -Health Affairs in the Eastern Region pointed out that : “This annual campaign targeting all health providers and patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, heart disease, kidneys, lungs and others”.
Dr. Al Arfaj also said: “This campaign spread awareness among society about the importance of preventing diseases especially the flu during winter. It targets the hospital’s staff, patients and visitors. Department of Infection Prevention and Control has booth in the hospital entrance to facilitate the vaccination”.
The campaign targeted more than 8 thousands person including patients, medical staff, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences – Al Ahsa students and faculty members, in addition to huge number of visitors and out-patients who listen to presentation about the flu vaccination.
